Breaking / Schooling Liveries
I would like to say a huge thank you for all the enquries we have had with regards to schooling and breaking liveries for this spring. We are now fully booked up until late June, but still have summer slots available. Please call 07917131526 for more details on the service we provide.
Below are some of our current schooling and breaking projects we are working with.
Little Ruby, Welsh B mare, rising 5yrs. This stunning mare came to our yard last September for some schooling, and has come back for some polishing off before she is advertised for sale.
Ruby clipped out and tidied up ready for sale (See sales page for further details on this beautiful pony)
Mist, Andalucian x Welsh D is here for breaking.
Grey Ruby, PBA, came to our yard last spring for several weeks schooling, and we are very lucky to have the pleasure of her for a second year running. Her owner Karen has worked wonders with her from last time we saw her.
Izzy, Welsh D came to our yard for breaking & schooling in January. I now go out and school her for her owner every couple of weeks.
***Sales Update***
The stunning Tegan will resume work next week after having her wolf teeth removed. She will be available in the next few weeks, and will make a super ridden M&M or all round PC pony.
We will also be replenishing our stock early March, so watch this space for new arrivals. We have some super Irish contacts now, so hoping to import some quality Connemara’s and Sports Ponies in 2014.
Craigcoch Tegan
After our short winter break and a super Christmas, we are back to business as usual! Over the festive period we purchased a stunning registered Welsh C mare. She was broken in summer 2013 and was turned away. We will be bringing her back into work, and schooling her on prior to sale. She will be 5yrs this spring and stands around 13.1hh. She is a closed coupled and deep bodied mare. She is clean limbed and straight moving. Is true to type and has a beautiful head and big kind eye. We are really looking forward to working with her over the next few months, and will hopefully get out to some shows before sale.
***2014 update!***
Nearly time to get those full clips booked in ready for the early shows!! Last clips will be late February / very early March to avoid damage to the summer coat. Lets be honest, we all dread the endless weeks of curry combing in spring and getting no where fast. Please do not hesitate to give me a call and do it the easy way!!!! Hunter without saddle patch (as shown below) is £30. Full clip with legs and face off is £40.
Spaces are now rapidly filling up for schooling & breaking for the 2014 season. We have managed to kept our prices at £95 per week for another year due to the amount of bookings currently being taken. This includes ad lib haylage, shavings and schooling 6 days out of 7. Ponies are turned out in small mixed herds daily, in electric fencing. A £50 deposit secures your place. I’m afraid we can only hold places with a deposit this year. We only cater for ponies up to 15hh as our arena is not full size, and larger horses sometimes can find it a bit tight.
We will have a new selection of ponies arriving in the next few months. We will hopefully have something to suit everyone from family ponies ,to the more competitive amongst us. Our ponies are all open to 5 stage vetting, and we are happy to sell on unbroken, or after breaking. Please contact 07917131526 to see what is available. We can also help find your perfect equine if you are struggling on your own.
Please give me a call on 07917131526 to book your horse or pony in. We travel to most parts of Leeds, West Yorkshire.
***Breaking / Schooling Bookings***
Bookings now being taken for 2014!!! Limited spaces available so please book early to avoid disappointment. We concentrate on ponies up to 15hh, and whether its breaking from scratch, or brushing up on some schooling exercises, please feel free to contact us. A £50 booking fee secures your place, and is taken off your ponies first week livery bill when he/she arrives.
January/February and March 2014 are now fully booked, and we currently have 2 spaces left for next April. Please visit our ‘breaking/schooling’ page for further details on the service we provide. Also some of our clients have been kind enough to write about the service they received, so for peace of mind please check out our testemonials page.

**Newbrook Ms Dynamite**
Well the stunning Newbrook Ms Dynamite has now being exported to Sweden!!! This is our first pony to be exported and I’m sure she will not be the last! Our competition ponies have been sold all over the UK and are competing in all disciplines from eventing to side saddle, showing to endurance. We stay in regular contact with pretty much all our clients, and I’m sure Brook’s new owner will be no exception. I would like to wish Tina and Brook a super future together, from all the team at Grove Stables xxx

Showing results!!!
Melody went to her first show today where she came 1st in all three of her in hand classes. She has also qualified for Equifest 2014. We are so pleased with her today and she behaved really well for a youngster. She was a pleasure to take and we are hoping to get her sister Delight out shortly to another local show before the season ends.
We also took our newest addition to the team Newbrook Ms Dynamite after only being with us for 2 days! This stunning county standard welsh C stood 2nd in all her classes to an outstanding Highland mare who won every class she entered. She trotted out perfect for her handler Nicola Simpson who kindly offered to show her for me today. They then went on to take reserve in hand champion of the day. The judges thought she was outstanding and true to type for her breed.
**Delight & Melody Update**
Both mares are now under saddle, proving to be very sane and intelligent youngsters. They are progressing daily and their profiles are being updated regularly with photographs on the ‘training’ page.
Ponies of this quality do not come on the market very often and for those interested I recommend you come and view them sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.
A deposit secures until after breaking, or would sell part broken to an experienced home.

***2 Pretty Coloured Ladies!!!***
I am very pleased with our 2 new arrivals which have come all the way from Ireland. They are 3yr old half sisters, out of Irish sports pony dams, by an American paint horse sire. They are approx 14.2hh / 14.3hh and are absolutely breath taking. They move very well, are clean limbed and nicely marked. They will make excellent non native ridden coloured ponies and have beautiful temperaments to match their good looks. They will be available after breaking, or would sell as they are to experienced homes only.
